Forest Sage: 1/2

Ay, got another MOC and I have a laundry list of pretty unimportant things to say about this guy, so if that's not your thing, not reading this mess will cost you nothing. I just want to ramble and pretend someone's listening.

Firstly, I just want to preface all this by saying that this whole MOC was inspired by neat little trinket that I stole from Endjaw to make this head. The trinket in question can be found here:

This is actually a fairly old MOC concept. I started it back in 2016 as the first in a potential line of elemental themed tribalistic characters. I had intended to use it to expand my approach to MOCing, general shaping, and the variety of styles I was familiar with. However, I think I bit of a little more than I could chew. My expectations far exceeded my abilities and it ruined my interest in the medium and for a time I could only see in it my failure. Looking back on it now, the whole thing seems a bit silly; sinking into a self imposed depressed state of mind over the inability to realize my imagination in the form of a digitalized child's play thing. I think I've learned a bit since then, a little about the medium, but mostly about myself.

I see this MOC kind of as a victory for me, coming back to one of the projects that chewed me up and spat me out. Despite that, I'd like to hear any criticism about it any of you have. Any growth one may gain means nothing if they decide that they have have nothing left to learn.




I know most of the probably came off as either cringy or simply cursory, but I just needed a place to empty my head.
